Why Instagram still rewards a solid follower count
Instagram is more profile-led than TikTok. People find you through a tagged post, a Story mention, a search or a link in a bio, and the first thing they see is a grid with three numbers above it. Of those, followers carries the most weight. A café, a hair studio or a wedding photographer with 2,000 followers simply looks more established than one with 140, even when the work is identical.
