Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can: what is needed to deliver an order and answer your emails. Here is the detail.
Who is responsible
InstantViral is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: support@instantviral.uk.
What we collect
- Order details: the public username or link you give us, the packages and the price. Stored with an order reference so we can deliver, refill and refund.
- Payment: handled entirely by our payment provider on its hosted checkout. We receive confirmation that you paid; we never see your full card details. The provider handles your name and email for the receipt under its own privacy policy.
- Emails you send us, so we can answer them.
- Basic technical logs (such as IP address and request times) kept briefly to keep the site secure and to stop abuse, including rate limits on our lookup tools.
We do not ask for passwords and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your basket
Your basket and the last username you searched are saved in your own browser (local and session storage) so they survive a page reload. They are not sent to us until you go to checkout. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Profile previews and tools
When you search a username in the basket or a calculator, we look up the public profile through a data provider and show you the result. We don’t build profiles of the people you look up.
Why we use your data
To perform our contract with you (delivering orders), to meet legal obligations (such as keeping transaction records) and for our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who we share it with
Only service providers who help us run the shop: hosting, payment processing and the suppliers that fulfil orders (who receive the username or link and quantity, never your payment details). Some may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for around 90 days for delivery, refills and refunds, and transaction records for as long as the law requires. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email us to do any of these. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
